122nd Bomb Squadron Restoration Group

122ND BOMB SQUADRON RESTORATION GROUP

Founded in 1992, the 122nd Bomb Squadron Veterans Association and Restoration Unit have provided the Jackson Barracks Museum with countless hours of volunteer service dedicated to restoring aircraft for static display. From aircraft they moved on to engines, jeeps, helicopters, anti-aircraft artillery and small arms. They were essential to the rescue and recovery of all of the museum’s collections after Hurricane Katrina.

If you are interested in military history and like to turn a wrench, hammer, paint or even push a broom the Restoration Group welcomes everyone interested in working with them. Current projects are ongoing three Wednesdays a month.

Our Restoration Unit was recently featured on WGNO New Orleans. Check it out!
