The 3 place Hiller H-23 (model 360) was based on the U.S. Navy UH-12, which was first flown in 1948. The H-23 Raven performed as a utility, observation and MedEvac helicopter during the Korean war. Model numbers ranged from A through G. Later models were used by the U.S. Navy as the HTE-1. The H-23 could also be fitted with twin M37C 30 Cal. or M60C 7.2 MM machine guns mounted on the skid cross members.
On May 2nd, 2001 the Hiller H-23B, Ser.# 51-16336 was returned to its display site after being completely refinished.
